Psychotherapy and counselling are, quite simply, support to others and thus that the reply to the question'why would I do it' Can seem self-serving and perhaps even grandiose. My mother was an excellent listener. So every day I'd come home from school, climb up on the kitchen stool and tell her about my day. It was almost like I could not quite catch my breath before I had told her what and processed the events of the day. From her I learned how wonderful it can feel to be completely heard...to have that moment of relief, that instant of being viewed and accepted for who you're • Drug abuse And sometimes I think it's a habit, a working strategy I learned several years ago. Yet other times, I think that it is a'calling'. Through nature or nurture I developed certain gifts...the gift of listening, of compassion, of non-judgement, of curiosity, of responsibility. So I feel as though I must make use of these gifts...they are an expression of who I am. While you almost certainly know when your child has a cough or a fever, it's hard to tell if they have a psychological illness. So you may think they are having a bad day or just not at all a nice mood. However, these issues can become considerably worse with time and might lead to serious problems later in life. However, what about mental health in kids? • Avoiding socializing with others • Depression • Losing appetite "I am thankful to have a profession where I can have real conversations with my customers. As human beings, we are driven, motivated, and sometimes distressed by relationships. I work with individuals who desire to have meaningful relationships with themselves and with other people, however, cannot. Also, I work with couples who love each other so profoundly but don't have the proper tools to make their relationship work. His seizures developed when I was a really young woman and were never quite completely controlled by the huge doses of medicine he took every day of his life.
